The Hyperlite Broadcast is shaped by Scott ‘Butch’ Bouchard, promising an even more enjoyable ride than ever before. The Broadcast provides exactly what you would expect, a simple yet effective design featuring a dual concave base for a freer, smooth surf style of ride, combined with a machined EVA traction pad so you can stay comfortable on your board. In addition, the Broadcast now features a swallowtail design for easier release and an easier surf experience, as well as Hyperlite’s monocoque construction, so you’re guaranteed a quality product. Whether it’s just starting or you want to throw down and have some fun, the Broadcast covers all bases.
Materials & Construction
- Bio 3 Core – The core you want under your feet, from a beginner to pro. Biolite 3 PU foam is wrapped in fibreglass for an added strength to handle punishment but is lighter and more durable than anything in wakeboard history. Welcome to Byerly’s nuclear deterrent.
- Monocoque Construction – An outer glass wrap from the bottom to the top, so the flash line is switched out from the weakest point of the board to the strongest. It is also renowned as the most durable construction in wakeboarding.
- Layered Glass – Make sure your board doesn’t soften over the years; layered fibreglass will help keep you poppin’.
Shape
- Swallow Tail Design – A stable and easy to control design, with its wider ‘swallow’ style tail, promotes easy manoeuvring with simple movements so that any rider can use it.
- Minimal Rockerline – Allows the board to maintain and increase the speed at any point on the wave or in the curl.
Base
- Dual Concave Base Contour – To disrupt the water and create an even flow to both sides of the board, creating stability and easy edge transitions.
